Skin is the human body’s largest organ; for this reason, changes in the normal aging process are more evident. Over the years, skin collagen levels decrease, causing loss of firmness, softness, and radiance. The areas most affected by the loss of collagen and the constant contraction of the muscles when we gesticulate, smile or eat, include the forehead, between the eyebrows, the area around the eyes, and the area around the lips. Xeomin™ acts on the nerve endings of muscles to prevent them from contracting. By reducing contractions, XEOMIN™ temporarily improves the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

The reason to inject XEOMIN™ only in these areas is that Botulinum Toxin partially paralyzes the muscle without reducing the naturalness of the face. The forehead and the upper part of the face are not an infrequent movement; On the other hand, the cheeks and the area around the lips move continuously, and for this reason, they should not be treated with XEOMIN but with special dermal fillers.

To extend the effect of Xeomin™, it is recommended that the patient also get moisturizing treatments performed by a professional, such as a Vampire Facial which is done every two months, or a Cellular Nutrition Treatment.

Frequency

This treatment can only be done on the forehead and between the eyebrows.

Duration

The effect of Botulinum Toxin lasts between 3 and 4 months, depending on the condition of each patient.

Care

After the injection of Xeomin™ the patient can feel a little discomfort in the treated area, which will disappear the next day.
Do not rub or massage the injected area during the 4 hours after treatment.
Avoid exercising for 24 hours after treatment.
Stay upright for 4 hours. Do not lay down.
Avoid wearing tight hats on the forehead.
